Japanese Retro – 1972 KGC10 GT-R

I came across this awesome KGC10 tonight for sale on Yahoo Auctions Japan. Not cheap at a starting price of 4,500,000 Yen, but it does have a great spec sheet. The L28 block has been bored out to 3100cc. The cylinder head has been reworked with large valves and Tomei guides plus high lift cam. The fuel & air mixture is taken car of by a set of 3 Webber 50 DCOE carbs. The drivetrain has been uprated with an OS Giken gearset & LSD. The car has also had coilovers and R32 Type M brake calipers added.  The wheels are RS Watanbe R-Types in 16″ with 8.5″ fronts and 9.5″ rears.

It looks stunning and also has some of the best hi-res pics I’ve seen of a KGC10.

  1. OK you win, this is just pure awesomeness. I can’t help but subscribe now. Just a quick note on it being ‘bored out’ to 3100cc: it’s nearly impossible to bore an l28 out to an l31. It’s much more common to use an ld28 crank from a diesel to stroke the engine to ~3000cc then bore it out to ~3100cc. I’m sure that beast screams though.
